    Well, since this birdie is proved to be a mystery to several of us, I'm forwarding the pics onto the Cornell Lab of Ornithology & also Birder's?World magazine to see if anyone in either of those places can ID it.
    
    It looks like some kind of Grosbeak to me, but since I'm not an ornithologist I'll wait until I hear back from Cornell.

    It looks somewhat similar to a Yellow Grosbeak (a rare vagrant from Mexico), 
    although I wouldn't bet on it.

    Sorry, I am not much of a computer person. Finally here are the pictures in 
    an acceptable way.? This bird was here the day of the storm and the next 
    day. Perhaps an escapee.

    Ok I'm stumped. Doesn't look like anything I've ever seen. Doesn't match
    Yellow Grosbeak or anything else in my field guides for Mexico, Panama, SE
    Asia, or West Africa. Is this feeder in the East Bay? Has the bird been
