Yesterday, 9/23/09, I started my bike ride quite early from Heather Farms 
Park, around 7:30am, and observed the following birds (in addition to all 
the usual suspects):

Red-shouldered Hawk
Belted Kingfisher (male)
Great Blue Heron
Black-crowned Night Heron
Green Heron
Yellow Warbler
Yellow-rumped Warbler (several)
Nuttall's Woodpecker
Chestnut-backed Chickadee
Black Phoebe
Anna's Hummingbird
Song Sparrow
Brown Towhee

Then, later on in the ride, I spotted a White-breasted Nuthatch, a pair of 
Goldfinches, and a pair of Acorn Woodpeckers on the lower north side of Mt 
Diablo. Sorry for the belated report.
