Very warm this morning at the lake. A Northern Pygmy Owl was calling from
the hillside near the west end of the bridge. I did manage to find a few
Orange-crowned Warblers, 1 Wilson's Warbler and 3 Western Flycatchers. The
southern sewage basin is virtually dry, small wet spot still remains. I have
never seen the sewage basins so dry. The northern pond held Killdeer, 1
Greater Yellowlegs and 1 Spotted Sandpiper. Last Sunday I had two Western
Tanagers bathing in the pools under the bridge.
On the home front we've had a steady stream of Rufous Hummingbirds over the
    past several weeks.
    Good birding.
