    Hi birders;

    In an effort to help clear out the nasty cold that's taken hold over the last few days, I took a short walk along the SE portion of Lake Temescal this morning. Migrants are beginning to show up, though nothing unusual was seen.

    A nice mixed flock, led by 2 CB Chickadees, included 2 still-calling Wilson's Warblers, a Warbling Vireo, and a heard-but- not-seen Pac Slope Flycatcher. Further along the trail, more vireos were high in the trees, as well as 1 Yellow Warbler and more Wilson's. Red-Winged Blackbirds are in the cattails on the north side of the lake.

    The water was quiet, with only Mallards, coots, and a couple of Black-Crowned Night Herons around.

    Good birding,
