    Hello to All Birders,
    ?
I am so happy to see a pair of Golden Eagles return the power pole on Reliez Valley Rd.?across from the Alhambra Creek Entrance. ?Today was the first day I have seen two together.? About a 4-6 weeks ago a solo young Golden Eagle roosted on the power pole for a week. Then?gone.? I thought that maybe the young Eagle was the fledgling from last years?breeding pair.?
I do wish I was better at telling?the difference between the?male and female raptors, other than the size.? I would greatly appreciate the help from the incredibly knowledgeable birders that contribute to this listing with any helpful hints.
    ?
I feel very fortune to?have so?many wonderful birds in?my back yard. ?We get to witness a lot of turf war with all the Raptors (Red Tail, Red Shoulder, Coppers & Golden Eagles) and Crows.? Some very spectacular aerial battles.? Just wish I was better with the video camera.
We also get to see many breeding cycles: House Finch, Chestnut-backed Chickadee, Western Bird, Hooded Oriole, Steller Jays, Coopers Hawks, and Golden Eagle to name a few.?
This is said to remind us that some times we don't need to look far to find what we are looking for.
    ?
    Happy Birding,
    Claudia Moose
