Dear Birders:

Recently I've been paying special attention to California Thrashers hearing them sometimes in the upper reaches of Strawberry Canyon and in Tilden Park.
In reading descriptions (Birds of North American online) and in early 20th century reports from Strawberry Canyon, mention is made of them coming into local gardens and even visiting feeders.  

Has anyone had thrashers in their gardens?  My sense is that they have pretty much retreated to "wild lands."
