[EBB Sightings] Briones RP Grasshopper Sparrows

At Briones Regional Park this morning (Sat., June 6), we walked from 
the Old Briones Rd trailhead (Martinez side) as far as the Sindicich Lagoons.

GRASSHOPPER SPARROWS were heard along that portion of the Briones 
Crest Trail and just south of the northern Sindicich Lagoon.  Two 
birds were seen teed up singing in that area just south of the lagoon.

Other highlights included:
- 3 American White Pelicans overhead
- 1 Brown Creeper along Old Briones Rd Trail
- 1 White-breasted Nuthatch along Old Briones Rd Trail
- family of 5 vocal House Wrens in the gully below the parking area
- 4 Horned Larks
- several Western Bluebirds
- 2 Lark Sparrows in the oak just below the junction of the Old 
Briones Rd & Briones Crest Trails, mating
- 3 Lazuli Buntings at both Sindicich Lagoons
- 3 little red baby coots at the northern Sindicich Lagoon
