[EBB Sightings] Our Chickadee Family

The Chestnut-backed Chickadees continue to bring their family to our patio, 
visiting yesterday and again for a long period today.  The big surprise was 
learning that there was a fourth fledgling.  Not only were the 4 in the 
patio at the same time, but the two parents were busy racing from the seed 
feeder to the little maple tree to feed them.  What a kick.  At one point, 
three of them were on the same branch, looking like those early 1900s photos 
with 4-6 chicks lined up together.  One of the youngsters figured out how to 
drink from the ant trap over the hummingbird feeder.  Their parents do it 
all the time, as do the Lesser Goldfinches.  Rosita and I do consider 
ourselves blessed to be able to see their comings and goings.
