Jim?Chiropolos and I ventured out to Sunol Regional Park this morning in the light rain, spending most of the time along Camp Ohlone Road. Our highlights were two Calliope Hummingbirds seen well up the road and a Eurasian Collared-Dove in the open area as you approach the parking lot at the vehicle bridge.

Some other highlights of the 54 species seen:

Black-shouldered Kite near the visitors center
    Cooper's Hawk
    Common Merganser
    Green Heron
    Eurasian Collared-Dove
    Olive-side Flycatcher (4)
    Western Wood-Pewee (2)
    Lazuli Buntings (many)
    Bullock's Oriole
    Cassin's Vireo (many)
    Western Tanager
    Warbling Vireo in nest
Golden-crowned Sparrow? - interesting in both being so late in the season and being about the only sparrow species seen

Might have also seen Vaux Swifts but couldn't confirm.

Even in the rain Sunol Regional Park is a gem.
