    All,

Cricket and I did as a quick tour of Patterson Pass Road on Sunday
afternoon in the drizzle. We found no hoped-for Blue Grosbeaks,
despite stopping at every traditional stop. We like to think it was
because of the drizzle... However we did see BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK,
HORNED LARK and a family of LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE near the first
farmhouse off of Hwy 580. We also found four ROCK WRENS singing from
rocky outcroppings as the road climbed into the turbines. LARK
SPARROWS were found at various places along the way. Most exciting
was dropping into the Livermore area we stopped along a nice-looking
patch of willows along the road (just outside of town) and found 4
NASHVILLE WARBLERS, one ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER, and WARBLING VIREO
    moving along the creek.

    . . .
