There was an OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER at Niles Community Park this morning. It was foraging on the south side of the first pond just below the tennis courts, easily viewed very closely from the elevated walk between that pond & the adjacent pond to the SW. This park is off 3rd St. in Niles between G & H Sts. The general location of Niles is west of Mission Blvd. & Niles Canyon Rd. along the north side of Alameda Creek. The water level is high in this pond. Be aware that the concrete path that circles this pond is flooded on the north side.
I also witnessed agonistic behavior between a couple of male Hooded Orioles for the first time. They pointed their bills almost straight up as if to show off their black mask/bibs to each other. I imagined the constant chattering as trash talk. ;)
