Today (Friday) around 11AM, a California Thrasher was singing in open view atop a large shrub of Poison Oak.  It was on the left side of Bayview Trail leading out of the north end of the visitor parking lot.  The shrub was on the hill to the left just beyond the stand of willow and oak that flanks the entrance to the trail on the right side of the path.

It sang long and continously allowing a close approach for a picture-
