    Hello E.B.Birders,

Yesterday, I joined Lisa Hug?for a raptor scout-out in the Livermore area and East Contra Costa. Here?are?our results:

Rough-legged Hawk - one perched on?the same utility pole it used last December,?near the?south end of?Byron Hot Springs Road.

Swainson's Hawks - four seen in flight at various locations?near J-4 in?East CCC.

Osprey - one at Clifton Court Forebay.

Bald Eagle -?four?total;?2 adults on and near the nest?at Del Valle Reservoir, 2 adults flying in tandem over?Round Valley Regional Preserve.

Golden Eagle - 1 flying over Round Valley Regional Preserve, right below the Bald Eagles.

Red-tailed Hawk, Red-shouldered, Northern Harrier, White-tailed Kite, American Kestrel - were also seen in various locations.

Great Horned Owl and Barn Owl in Livermore, as previously reported.? Burrowing Owls were?in East Contra Costa.
    ?
We also enjoyed watching 15 Whimbrels and about 100 Long-billed Curlew?foraging in the field along Deer Valley Road near Chadbourne?Road?in Antioch.
    ?
I?had the good fortune to?record?the delightful songs of?2 individual?Tricolored Blackbirds (instead of?a?huge flock)?that were singing?at the end of Byron Hot Springs Road.?
    ?
    All the Best Birding,
