Richmond: Pt Isabel to Hoffman Marsh: The usual suspects, but good!

Starting  about 9:30 and walking north pushing a baby stroller instead of riding a bicycle, the warm morning produced quite a few birds, many of them busily feeding, preparing for a long trip north. The small bay just north of Pt Isabel was good, the remediated lands near the S. 51st St access to the SF Bay Trail were good, and the small bay just south of the dilapidated pier was excellent. Blair and I and baby Gita sat on a bench and enjoyed the birds whilst eating lunch. Dunlin and Western Sandpipers were numerous, as were Marbled Godwits and Am Avocets, but only one Sanderling was spotted. This would be a good week for enjoying shorebirds which will be absent for a few months.
