Wild Turkeys were introduced on the N3 Ranch south of Del Valle Park as early
as 1969 and on the Excell Ranch (near mile marker 9.25) prior to 1975, when I
first saw them there. By the spring of 1983, I was seeing increasing numbers at
several other locations on Mines Road, near mile posts 0.3, 5.25 and 12.6.

On May 16, 1985, one was in George Bing's yard on Colgate Way.

On August 17, 1985. I saw one at the south end of Arroyo Road, and I have since
seen increasing numbers in Veterans Park and at Veterans Hospital.

In February 1994, I started seeing them in Sunol Park and on Calaveras Road,
and from 1999 on, I have seen them on Tesla Road, Patterson Pass Road, Midway
Road, Mohr Avenue, Foothill Road, at Tassajara Creek Park, and several other
    locations in eastern Alameda County.

I expect they will continue to spread and increase their numbers
