Black oystercatchers were on the sandbar out from Pinole Creek's entry into
the bay (by the sewer treatment plant). Four of them were there today and
two several days ago. A man there with a scope said he has seen them there
for several months. The view of this sandbar is a two minute walk from the
parking lot. Also there were 6-7 turnstones on the edge of the water today.

Of the several hundred Willets seen there several days ago, only two
remained. Instead, hundreds of sandpipers were pecking and dashing along the
mudflats. Some Marbled Godwits, a few egrets, 4-5 Semipalmated Plovers, and
4-5 Black Bellied Plovers were moving along more slowly. (Check the tide
levels for both Pinole Point and Hercules--it is between those two
    locations.)

To find this sandbar, exit Highway 80 at Pinole Valley Road (center of
Pinole) then go west on Pinole Valley Road towards the bay. It becomes
Tennant part way along, then crosses over the railroad tracks. Park in the
lot by the sewage treatment plant then walk to the right or north to see the
    mudflats then the sandbar.

The Hooded Mergansers were not visible in Pinole Creek today. The creek was
very high from the last few rains and one big shower just before I walked
    along the pathway.

I've seen Black Oystercatchers at the end of the Albany bulb. The only
Wandering Tattler I ever saw was in Oregon, though, so I can't help you
    tehre.
