    I spotted a group of maybe 4-6 Golden-crowned Sparrows in Briones Park 
    yesterday while mtn-biking.  Later on, I encountered a flock of Meadow Larks 
    on a very green hillside (some were rewarding me with their characteristic 
    mating song).
