[EBB Sightings] Hooded Merganser- Aquatic Park- pic

Ed Tanovitz and I finally saw the male Hooded Merganser at Aquatic Park this afternoon around 3PM.  It was in the middle pond to the west (near the freeway) and under one of the two Juniper (?) trees that drape into the water. It finally came out from its shelter along with two mallards and began swimming freely into the open water.

On the main pond we also spotted a male and a female Red-Breasted Merganser just off the causeway that separates the middle pond from the main lake.
