Lately I've noticed increasing bird activity in our backyard in Concord
(near Treat & Oak Grove Aves). The (migrating) Robins and Waxwings are
"battling" for space on the birdbath (they seem VERY thirsty); Our birch
tree, with seed pods hanging on, is a favorite feedzone for a flock of
warblers (yellow?, myrtle? hard to tell), and today I spotted a Hermit
Thrush in the winter undergrowth. A Ruby-crowned Kinglet normally visits us
this time of year, but haven't seen him yet this year. Our resident Black
Phoebe loves to skim the surface of the swimming pool, and finally, we have
all the usual sparrows, finches and doves competing for bird seed (at/under
    the feeder).
