    When I was at the lake a couple of days ago, I saw three dark-backed 
    ducks. One was clearly a Tufted Duck (and not the one that was there 
    earlier this year, unless they molt their tuft feathers at this time of 
    year); one was equally clearly Ring-necked; and the third was ... odd. 
    It looked mostly like a Ring-necked Duck, but the head wasn't as pointy, 
    and the back had faint brindling. Another hybrid?
