[EBB Sightings] Rails at high tide Thursday 1.08

Today at high tide around 8:40 a.m. at Arrowhead Point at Oakland's
Martin Luther King Regional Shoreline Park near the Oakland Airport
there were several Clapper Rails and a couple of Soras sitting out the
high tide in the flooded vegetation near the boardwalk.  Dozens of
Willets and Marbled Godwits lined over half of the boardwalk as well.

At Garretson Point at the end of Edgewater Road there was one pair of
Blue-winged Teal in with the other ducks at the pond across from the
park office parking lot.

The male Tufted Duck was seen at close range at Lake Merritt in Oakland
today around noon near the Rotary Nature Center with the large Scaup
flock and a pair of Ring-necked Ducks.
