[EBB Sightings] Harlequin Duck, Richmond Marina -- pics

Following Roger Polk's sighting of a Harlequin male at the Richmond Marina, I arrived in the area he described around 3:00 p.m. today.  The low tide brought quite a few birds to the shore, including Black-crowned Night-Herons, Black Oystercatchers and Snowy Egrets.  The Harlequin male appeared around 4:15 p.m. accompanied by a female Surf Scoter in the open water in front of Salute restaurant.  Both ducks were very approachable and allowed for photos in good light.
