[EBB Sightings] American Bittern (Contra Costa edition) Again

Yesterday Nick and I went out to East County and were lucky enough to get a 
good view of the American Bittern at the Antioch Municipal Reservoir (corner 
of Golf Course Road andLone Tree). This time it was stalking the fringes of 
an island closer in and we were able to observe it very well with just our 
binoculars.

We found two additional birds we needed for our Contra Costa County year 
list at the west end of Contra Loma Reservoir theVirginia Rail and Common 
Moorhen and many other birds besides.

All in all a great outing.
