    Hi East Bay Birders:

Barbara and I spent a couple of hours birding at the UC Botanical
Garden this morning. Highlight was a Black-and-white Warbler Barbara
found. It was in the closest oak tree to the right as you enter the
main gate. Later on we re-found it in the oak trees at the Oak Knoll
picnic area in the California section. Both times it was with a large
    mixed-species flock (Townsend's and Yellow-rumped Warblers,
    Ruby-crowned Kinglets, Hutton's Vireo, Bushtits, Chestnut-backed
Chickadees, Brown Creepers, Bewick's Wren). The bird was actively
flitting around, moving quickly from branch to branch, and I was
unable to get anything other than a few blurred photos.

    Good birding,
