    A bike ride starting at Lake Merritt and then north along the shoreline to
    Richmond had the following highlights this morning among the 67 species
    seen:
    
    Lake Merritt
    
    Saffron Finch (in the same area previously reported on the western side of
    Fairyland)
    Belted Kingfisher
    Ring-necked Duck
    
    Emeryville Shoreline
    
    Black Turnstone
    Surfbird
    
    Berkeley Marina
    
    Common Loon
    2 Surf Scoters
    5 Red-breasted Nuthatches in the same tree
    Fox Sparrow
    White-tailed Kite
    Spotted Sandpiper
    
    Albany marsh:
    
    2 Eurasian Wigeons
    
    Richmond Shoreline
    
    Brant Goose ? east of the bridge at the north end of Hoffman Marsh
    16 Greater Yellowlegs resting together east of the bikepath by the dog park
    Says Phoebe
    Savannah Sparrow
    American Kestrel
    Belted Kingfisher
    Spotted Sandpiper
    Pelagic Commorant right outside the restaurant at the Richmond Marina
    Black Oystercatcher
    
    
    I checked out about every duck in sight and couldn?t find the Redhead,
    Harlequin Duck or any Goldeneyes.? ?
