[EBB Sightings] Saffron Finch near Oakland's Fairyland

Hi EBBers,

This morning at 8AM there was a Saffron Finch along the west side perimeter 
of Oakland's Fairyland.  The finch was associating with a flock of White- 
and Golden-crowned Sparrows.  If you walk the asphalt path along the west 
border of Fairyland, the finch was feeding in the grass adjacent to the path 
near a water fountain.  I asked a Fairyland employee if they had an aviary 
with Saffron Finches - she didn't know.  I don't know if this species is 
part of the pet trade, but it is likely an escapee from someone's cage.
