I'm sending this report in on behalf of Alice Hoch, who has trouble
    posting to this list.

Yesterday (11/24) there were 3 Western Bluebirds just west of Crab
Cove (between Crab and Ballena Coves.) Ballena Cove is just west of
Crab Cove. They were my 1st bluebirds there & were unexpected.

Today (11/25) at Ballena Cove there was a Black Oystercatcher (my 1st
there) and 3 Black Turnstones (usual there) on the island. We saw 5
species of grebe in Ballena Cove.

In Crab Cove, there were a Common Loon and a Red-throated Loon (my
    1st there).

Yesterday there was a Common Loon off Alameda shore at Park St. My
students thought they saw one there today, but I didn't pick up on
it. Both days Heerman's Gulls were on the breakwater.

Yesterday at Garretson Point, I saw a Ruddy Duck with an ALL white
head. It was with a flock of normal Ruddy Ducks.
