Sunday I went to the park after 9 AM, today it was before 8. A Red-shafted
Flicker was seen and heard both days. There were 20+ Killdeer yesterday, 34
today. One later flew for some time over the pond, calling and being chased
by a House Finch. A Lincoln's Sparrow was on the west side of the large
natural pond, two Pied-billed Grebes made their appearance after being
missing for over a week and a single Coot has shown up. A single Coot made
a one-day appearance back in early August, too, but this is the time of year
    they return for the duration.

Last Friday I found two Yellow Warblers and a Lark Sparrow, but I could only
find Yellow-rumped Warblers this morning. There was also a Ruby-crowned
    Kinglet and a Red-shouldered Hawk.
