    Hi all:

This afternoon at Albany crescent there was a male Eurasian Wigeon not quite out of eclipse plumage, showing a mostly rufous head, but the central crown patch hadn't come in yet, and mostly silver scapulars, but again, not all were in. At the abandoned pier just west of the race tracks there were 3 Pelagic Cormorants. At the Berkeley fishing pier, a Common Tern was hunting up and down the south side of the pier. This looked to be a first winter bird with smudgy leading and trailing edges to the wing and the primaries relatively dark throughout.

    Good birding,
