    This afternoon I saw two Burrowing Owls at Cesar Chavez Park. One was near
    the NE end of the paved path and the other was along the NE section of the
    trail. No luck on the Lapland Longspur, but there were several American
    Pipets on the upper area of the park. I also noticed that Scaup and Grebes
    have now arrived in numbers. I remember noticing this about the same date a
    year ago just before the Cosco Busan oil spill. Hopefully our wintering
    visitors will be more fortunate this year.
