[EBB Sightings] Hayward Shoreline (09/25)

Seen at the shoreline today -

Merlin - 1 immature at Winton Ave. was the first I have seen this fall. John Luther saw one last Monday.

Parasitic Jaeger - 1 juvenile seen fron Hayward's Landing while looking for the Storm-Petrel seen by Bob Dunn. He thoght that most likely it was an Ashy. The description he gave me sounds like an Ashy Storm-Petrel.

Northern Flicker - 1 at Winton Ave.

Willow Flycatcher - 1 at Winton Ave. is the 10th latest I have for the shoreline.

Pacific-slope Flycatcher - 2 at Winton Ave.

Empidonax species - 1 at Winton Ave.

Bewick's Wren - 1 at Winton Ave.

Warbling Vireo - 1 at Winton Ave. The only later record was 10-2-84.

Yellow Warbler - 1 at Winton Ave.

Townsend's Warbler - 1 at Winton Ave. is the second this fall.

Common Yellowthroat - 1 at Winton Ave.

White-throated Sparrow - 1 at Winton Ave. Second earliest fall record I have for the shoreline.

Spotted Towhee - 1 at Winton Ave. Two thirds of the records at the shoreline are in Sept. and Oct.
