I, too, had my FOS WCSPs (2) in my backyard in Walnut Creek, along with a
robin, 4 lesser goldfinches, white breasted nuthatch and at least a dozen
mourning doves. The day before the FOS yellow-rumped warbler (Audubon's)
arrived. All of these visitors must have known that autumn has arrived.

I heard my first of season White-crowned Sparrow yesterday in my back
yard. The Red-winged Blackbirds that usually come to the neighborhood in
August are still around, sometimes visiting the feeder.
