    A mated pair of adult BALD EAGLES preened and called from a tree high on the hillside at Lake Del Valle from 11 - 12:45 today.  The smaller male took a brief flight but came right back to the tree, and both birds were still there when we left. Walk out the East Shore trail from the marina for about 15 minutes until you reach an outhouse and lakeside bench just short of Hetch Hetchy Camp and look across the lake and up the hillside to a tree with branches like an upside down bird's foot.
