    Today at the shoreline -

Sooty Shearwater - 1 seen at 6:50 PM over the bay from the mouth of San Lorenzo Creek. This is the 3rd record of this species I have for the shoreline.

Red-shouldered Hawk - 1 seen catching a Greater Yellowlegs in the east part of Ora Loma Marsh. I have never seen this before.

Lesser Yellowlegs - 3 seen in Ora Loma Marsh.

Pectoral Sandpiper - 1 seen in Frank's Dump West. A Peregrine Falcon flushed many of the shorebirds and it appeared to fly to the south.

Willow Flycatcher - 1 seen at Winton Ave.

Pacific-slope Flycatcher - seen at Winton Ave. and along the base of Mt. Trashmore on the north side.

Empidonax sp. - 1 seen along the base of Mt. Trashmore on the west side.

Red-breasted Nuthatch - 1 seen at Winton Ave. only early in the morning. It was found by either Bob Power or Bob Dunn.

Lincoln's Sparrow - 1 seen at Winton Ave. is the first I have seen here this fall.

    Good birding

    Bob
