    Today at the shoreline -

Lesser Yellowlegs - 4, 3 in the east part of Ora Loma Marsh, 1 in the marsh near the Hayward Shoreline Interpretive Center.

Ruddy Turnstone - 5 at Frank's Dump West.

    Surfbird - 1 at Frank's Dump West.

Sanderling - 300 (estimate) at Frank's Dump West. The next highest number at the shoreline was 60 on 10-21-07.

Willow Flycatcher - 1 at Winton Ave.

    Pacific-slope Flycatcher - 2 at Winton Ave.

Western Scrub-Jay - 2 at Winton Ave. This is only the fifth time I have seen them here. However, they are common at the Grant Ave. end of the San Lorenzo Trail. The last Winton Ave. record was 9-22-98.

    Good birding
