    Hi all:

At the Marina this a.m. in the small island west of
    the par course:
    Ruddy Turnstone -- 9
    Sanderling -- 60
    Sufbird -- 7

    Frank's Dump
    Red-necked Phalaropes -- 2

Tuesday night 8-19 I drove west to the terminus of
marshlands road at the east end of the Dumbarton
Bridge. Looking south across the first salt pond to
the next pond, I could see hundreds of Phalaropes
scattered between the larger number of gulls. The
pond adjacent to the freeway where Phalaropes seem to
be consistent (but not lately) looked very muddy and
this "2nd pond south" (N3 or the southern portion of
N2, can't tell from my map) looked nice and blue. I
stopped counting at 300 as the distance negated my
abilities to identify as to species.

    Good birding,
