[EBB Sightings] 5 Heron Day @ Alameda Creek

Late afternoon at Alameda Creek west of Mission Road, right below the inflatable dam the LITTLE BLUE HERON was actively feeding in the open for the entire time I was there. While watching it scampering along the dam, a GREEN HERON flew in and landed on the bank at the base of the dam. There was also a GREAT-BLUE HERON, GREAT EGRET, & a couple SNOWY EGRETS.
 Also present were 2 SPOTTED SANDPIPERS, 4-5 GREATER YELLOWLEGS, 1 LESSER YELLOWLEGS, and 2 KILLDEER. There were at least 5 COMMON MERGANSERS, and 4 WHITE PELICANS in the creek.
