I was here in mid-morning from Mt. Trashmore, Hayward's Landing, and points south. The following unusual birds were seen -

American Kestrel - only my 11th July record at the shoreline. The last was 7-31-97.

Say's Phoebe - 1 was found by Peter on Mt. Trashmore yesterday. I saw it north of here, on the other side of the flood control channel. The latest in spring I have seen was on 3-26-99. The earliest in fall I have seen was 8-27-06.
