    Hi birders,

Like Bob Power, I went out to Albany this morning to look for the Common
Murre. I didn't find it at the beach, and I then spent some more time birding
around the "bulb". I went back this afternoon, and this time I found the bird
on the north side of bulb, but the sighting was bittersweet. Unfortunately,
this bird is clearly in very poor health, and I don't think it will last
much longer. It was sitting upright on a rock but it was very lethargic and
having trouble keeping its balance. Later, it was laying down on the rock, and
I saw it roll off onto its back. It was able to right itself, but with
    difficulty.

Assuming the bird makes it through the night, the place to look for it is
off the northeast shore of the wide, outer part of the bulb. It was on a
small, rocky island, just east of the large, painted plywood panels. I was on the
shore at those panels when I found the bird.
