    Shorebird migration has started. Most shorebirds were not at Frank's Dump West but were in the city ponds. These ponds are just east of Cogswell Marsh and Mt. Trashmore. Seen at the shoreline from 3:00 PM to 8:30 PM - 
    
    Black-necked Stilt
    American Avocet
    Black-bellied Plover - hundreds
    Killdeer
    Semipalmated Plover - estimated 750
    Snowy Plover - 1
    Short-billed Dowitcher
    Long-billed Dowitcher - 1
    Marbled Godwit - hundreds
    Whimbrel - 4 in Cogswell Marsh
    Long-billed Curlew - 1 in Ora Loma Marsh
    Willet - hundreds
    Red Knot - 2 seen at the mouth of San Lorenzo Creek
    Western Sandpiper - at least 100 in the cith ponds
    Least Sandpiper - 3 in the city ponds
    Dunlin - 1 in the city ponds
    Wilson's Phalarope - 24 in the city ponds
    Red-necked Phalarope - 21
    Red Phalarope - 1 in the city ponds
