East Bay Birders,
I made my second attempt to find Common Poorwill on Mines Rd at mm 9.75 and
failed but I did have calling Western Screech Owl. I stopped several times
on the trip down Mines Rd and finally at 10:30PM had two calling Common
Poorwill at mm 6.27 across from the water tank. The birds where well down
the canyon but could be heard clearly. Tonight the conditions where great
with light wind, warm temp and bright moon.
