    Hi all:

I started the morning at Winton Ave where I had a very
cooperative Olive-sided Flycatcher just west of the
fenced off residence at the entrance to the staging
area. A Yellow Warbler was singing from the shrubs
that line the channel in the same location.

I relocated to Coyote Hills Reg. Park and enjoyed some
natural history lessons with the Great Horned Owl and
owlet in the tallest pine just west of the visitor
center. I biked out to the North Marsh along the
Lizard Rock Trail where I ran into Cathy and Diane
(sorry about the missing last names and the aging,
fading, memory thing...) who had staked out a
White-faced Ibis in the west corner of the pond. I
just got back from Sierra Valley where we'd seen
dozens of Ibis, so I was on time-delay as far as
realizing that I've been looking for this bird in this
county for two months....... I was admiring the Ibis
for about 15 seconds before it hit me....
    oooooohhhhhhhhhh! Ibis! Alameda County! Right!!!
    I'm o.k. now.

    Good birding,
