    Hi birders,

Based on Jaan Lepson's report of possible CAHUs on Mines Rd., I headed out
there after work today to take a look. At 7:40 this evening, I had a
scope-filling view of a male CALLIOPE HUMMINGBIRD at MM 5.75 perched on a tree on the
uphill (east) side of the road. There was a second bird (the two were
engaged in chase behavior, as Jaan reported), but only one of them perched, so I
can't absolutely verify the identity of the second bird.

    Good birding,
    Kathy Robertson
