After two weekends birding in Louisiana I final had time to get back to the
ABY2008. This morning at the narrows on the eastern slope of Patterson Pass
    I had 2 Blue Grosbeaks, 2 Western Tanagers, 3 Black-headed Grosbeaks,
Nashville Warbler and Ash-throated Flycatcher. On the eastern slope of Tesla
road at approx mile 9.5 I had 2 Black-chinned Hummingbirds dueling over some
flowering plants. While watching the HB's a Lazuli Bunting appeared on some
brush. In the shade of the cottonwoods along the creek I located Cassin's
Vireo and Swainson's Thrush. At the white concrete bridge on Arroyo Rd near
Veteran's Park in Livermore Western-wood Pewee was calling from the
riparian. I did not detect the Northern Pygmy Owl that's been calling for
    several weeks near this location.
