This morning between 9 and 11 I walked up Mitchell Canyon as far as White
    Canyon.

Warbler numbers seemed down from previous reports. One Townsend's, several
Yellow-rumps, lots of Wilson's and Orange-crowned. No Nashvilles or BT
    Grays.

Warbling Vireos were singing throughout the canyon, but difficult to
observe. Three Cassin's Vireos were singing, but only one showed itself.

All four hummingbirds were present, with the Calliope in its usual spot
where the shrubby growth opens out near the bottom of White Canyon.

Finally, flycatchers. Three or four Ash-throateds were both visible and
noisy. There were also two empids. The first (at the junction of Black
Point and Globe Lily trails) appeared to be a Dusky (low-pitched call and
relatively short primary projection), but I would appreciate any
    commentary.

The second empid, in White Canyon with the hummers and the Townsend's
Warbler, did not call or give a particularly good view of itself, so I let
    it go as "Empidonax sp."

     Good birding,
