A late afternoon stroll through the park yesterday
provided the following sightings: a golden eagle atop
the Sibley com tower, a juvenile red-tailed hawk,
flushed and spreading its handsomely banded tail,
raven flyovers, a male Selasphorus hummer doing flight
displays, female Selasphorus hummers feeding, Anna's
hummers feeding on manzanita nectar and insect
gleaning, brown and spotted towhees hopping through
the brush, bushtits and CB chickadees paired up and
busy, a flicky ruby-crowned kinglet, and darn it,
another Fox sparrow scratching a deep hole in the same
spot that I saw one last year.

No condors or frigate birds or ivory billed
    woodpeckers seen, this time.
