[EBB Sightings] NOT seen at Lake Merritt

Your comment about the missing cormorants was interesting to me.

When I was volunteering on the Cosco Busan oil spill clean up, many people wondered why no cormorants came into the care center.  These birds *should* have been affected by the spill, and some people speculated that because of their particular lack of waterproofing, the birds perished from exposure to the bunker oil and never made it back to land.

I wonder if there is any connection, or if I'm just spewing nonsense.
