[EBB Sightings] NOT Seen at Lake Merritt

I wandered past the nature center today, and the islands were completely 
empty of the Double-crested Cormorants that should be crowding the trees 
at this time of year. One was there on February 27, clearly looking 
around for the extended family, but today, none.

Any ideas what's happening?

No signs of egrets or herons nesting, either.
