    This morning 17 birders from around the bay area assembled in good weather
    to bird the Livermore valley.
    
    Highlighted species only.
    Our first stop:
    1.) >Pleasanton Water Dentition pond on Valley Ave .
    3 Snipe in the open feeding
    Lest Sandpiper
    Northern Rough-winged Swallows
    
    2.)> Zone 7 - Bernal Creek walk way.
    Red-shouldered Hawk
    Oak Titmouse
    Northern Flicker
    Yellow-rump Warbler
    American Kestrel
    
    3.)> EBRP Pleasanton Ridge Parking lot
    California Thrasher in the open singing
    White Breasted Nuthatch
    Steller Jay
    Kingfisher
    Acorn Woodpecker
    Red-tailed Hawks
    Peregrine Falcon
    
    4.)> El Charro  at  HY580 north to Fallon Rd. and Croak Rd meadows.
    2 Snowy Egret
    White-tailed Kite
    Red-tailed Hawk
    36 Long-billed Curlews
    25 American Wigeon
    Gadwall
    Brewers Black Birds
    Loggerhead Shrike
    
    5.)> Livermore Rd. to Hartford Rd "region".
    Golden Eagle sitting on the ground.
    Ferruginous Hawk sitting on the ground
    14+ Long-billed Curlews
    11 + White-throated Swifts
    Ravens
    Burrowing Owl
    Meadow Larks
    Blue-winged Teal
    
    6.) > Freck Lake ( we missed the morning mega-gull assembly)
    2 Juvenile Glaucous-winged Gull 
    California Gull
    Green Teal
    Cinnamon Teal
    Shover
    Black-necked Stilt
    2 Barn Swallows
    
    7.)>  Brushy Peak -parking lot.
    Say's Phobe
    Red-winded Black Bird
    Tri-color Black Bird
    Pair of bonding American Kestrels
    Golden Eagle
    Airborne Gulls appeared to give us a maybe a Thayer's Gull but Glaucous
    Gull seem more likely, a consensus on ID seems to be reach for Glaucous
    Gull.
    
    There were many other species of birds that we all see daily I did not
    include.
    
    Anyone interested in writing a letter supporting Burrowing Owl habitat
    preserve in Camp Parks, please e mail separately.
