[EBB Sightings] Allen's Hummingbird

Yesterday (3/1) I discovered an Allen's Hummingbird constructing a nest in a
redwood tree in my backyard.  We've been enjoying watching her weave the
spiderwebs to anchor the base of the nest.  The nest must have been started
on 3/1, or very near that date, or I would have noted the activity.  It's
slightly above eye level, visible from my favorite birdwatching chair on the
back deck.  I'll keep everyone posted on the progress.  Since arrival dates
are a hot topic, the Allen's arrived on 2/24 this year in my yard; since
1991 range is 1/22 to 3/8.
